Original Australian art, inspired by the beauty of our native landscape

Commission an Original Work

Every commissioned painting begins with a conversation.
Whether you’re drawn to a particular native flower, a colour palette, or have a
space in mind, I’d love to create something that’s uniquely yours.

Each commission is painted intuitively, with the same care and layered process as my original works. No two pieces are ever the same, making every painting a truly personal collaboration.

I take on a small number of commissions each year so each piece receives the time and attention it deserves.

Painted intuitively, one layer at a time

Every painting begins differently. Sometimes it’s a single mark, sometimes a colour or a memory of the landscape. I don’t work from a fixed plan. Instead, I let each piece evolve slowly, building layers of paint,
pastel and texture until it begins to reveal itself.

Inspired by Australian native flora and the places I call home; my work isn’t about painting every detail. It’s about capturing the feeling, movement and atmosphere that make those places so special.

Each finished piece carries its own story, making every
original completely unique.

Behind the scenes

A glimpse inside my studio

This is where ideas take shape. Some paintings come together quickly, while others sit quietly on the easel for weeks before I know where they’re heading. I spend a lot of time adding, removing and responding to each layer until the painting finally feels complete.

My studio is rarely tidy for long. There are paint-stained palettes, soft pastels, brushes and works in progress everywhere, each one part of the creative process. It’s a space where I can slow down, experiment and let
each painting find its own direction.

If you’d like to follow along, I regularly share works in progress, new paintings and glimpses of life in the studio.

Inspiration

My work begins with the Australian landscape around me. Native flowers, changing colours, interesting shapes and textures often find their way onto the canvas, sometimes intentionally and sometimes not. This is a little look at what inspires me and how a painting begins to take shape.
